Nonetheless, the design is ok, and a game such as this doesn’t need state of the art visuals in order to be amusing. The environments look fairly decent, but the textures the game uses are somewhat simplistic. You’ll instantly take a trip down memory lane to the damage system of Carmageddon 2 and other similar titles. The extreme glossy cars, that show damage in an unnatural way suit the picture the developer is trying to paint here. Graphically Gas Guzzlers Extreme isn’t an impressive piece of work, but the overall atmosphere is perfect for a game such as this. We believe a game such as this doesn’t need any excess baggage to be fun. The game doesn’t have a story to tell, and that’s just fine. You can play the campaign mode, clear courses and even unlock sponsors and sponsored events. Gas Guzzlers Extreme, of course, doesn’t have a story. Recently we discovered that a console release for Gas Guzzlers Extreme was on its way and we were lucky enough to get our hands on a copy. For some reason, this hype died down, and it evolved to other types of games in the genre.
GAS GUZZLERS EXTREME INDIR PC
These games were present on the PC in the early 2000s and also on consoles such as the Nintendo 64, PlayStation 1 & 2 and the early Xbox consoles. While both types of games often work quite well, we still miss the days of the many vehicular combat games. We see a clear distinction between the simulation world and those that want to add cartoon characters to their lineup. Maybe because I died too many times? I dont know.Nowadays many games often aim to be either realistic or ludicrous when it comes to racing games. My preferred place.Īlso at some point I noticed the difficulty was changed back to beginner. No idea if any of the upgrades from the campaign were applied to it or not.ĭont forget to refeul and heal in the cave. I also used the far right car so it was my most recent campaign car. The further you go into rounds the crazier the repairing will be. I also only used 2 players so I could have 1 AI partner. Either way take them out like the orange dots to avoid annoyance more than anything. You may see some red dots as well but they are not as bad since they are not explosive. Also watch for the orange dots while repairing on the hill. If sitting in the cave waiting, watch the map for the orange dots. At this point depending how the round is going I either stay to try and fight for more points or run off and heal myself and wait for more damage to the base. So I park where I can rotate my car and take them out until I get overwhelmed. Especially the trolls and kamikaze enemies. Close enough to heal it but far enough to avoid taking damage. I drive around the side of the structure and park at the top of the hill. But using this as the start location, when you leave the cave to head over to repair the base, I head to the left side. And so will the buffalo depending on the round and how far into the round you are. I will get a few zombies to kill but mostly you will need to watch out for the kamikaze hyenas. Using the cave gas pad as a reference, I like to sit here. So fast rounds always seemed to work better and give better %'s than the longer slower rounds. And then if the round goes on too long the buffalo start to show up and make it annoying. I did find that taking out too many of the bigger enemies made it too easy for the AI to defend the base and it I wasn't making much progress when that happened. You can probably take some out to extend the length of the round and get more repair points. This is easier to do in the earlier rounds before the trolls and stuff start showing up. Once it hits like 10-20% damage I race over to the top of the hill next to the bunker and park next to it and repair the base. I just kind of sit there there and let the AI and enemies fight it out while watching the map and staying away from the major groups of enemies. Once the round starts I drive to the cave refuel circle. But if you die during the round you will need to re-pick them up. But while working your way to the 4th or 5th round, make sure you pick up all the weapons so that your checkpoint already has them. This causes more and quicker damage to the bunker you are protecting. But when you get to 4 or 6 fail the round and switch the difficulty to the highest level you can. You can get this far on easy if you want. So you can load up the xbox dash achievements and track your % progress that way. I know I did 7% before, and maybe once I did 10%? And considering you need 10,000 points, those %'s are not too bad. I my average is probably 5% per game but more is possible. I do get decent chunks of % on the achievement tracker. Though I don't really get many kills doing this. I feel like I have a decent strategy for this.
